CAREER SPEAKERS BUREAU
Volunteering for the Franklin Initiative Career Speakers Bureau is a fun, rewarding way to share your experiences and knowledge with young people. Our volunteers are invited into the classroom to talk about their job, business, education, and what it takes to be successful in life and work. As a result, students get a real-life glimpse into the world of work after high school.
After a brief orientation, you can volunteer for as many or as few speaking engagements as you like. To find out more, please contact mwysocki@chamberbloomington.org.

FOR EDUCATORS: Inviting a community member to make a presentation in your classroom is a great way to enhance your lessons and share real-world experiences with your students. And the Franklin Initiative makes it easy.
Speakers Bureau volunteers undergo regular evaluation and attend an orientation session that covers how to:
-
make effective classroom presentations
-
use active learning techniques
-
use technology in the classroom
-
avoid inappropriate topics
-
deal effectively with problem behaviors
Trained volunteers representing over 40 different career fields are available to visit your class or school to talk about their business, life experiences, career path and the world of work. To find out more, please contact mwysocki@chamberbloomington.org
