East/West Traffic
The 2007 Infrastructure Task Force Report identified east-west traffic flow, particularly in the Second
and Third street
corridors, to be a key concern for our members and community, and made recommendations to our government leaders to critically analyze this investment and how we can improve this area of our infrastructure. In our mission of advocacy for local businesses, the Chamber has brought together an East-West Traffic Team to represent the businesses that will be affected as we move forward in improving these rapidly developing thoroughfares.
The Chamber has also identified the expansion of the 45/46 Bypass as a priority issue and continues to work with INDOT, IU, and the City of Bloomington to advance this critical infrastructure improvement project.
